Important Questions to Ask Your Guide or Outfitter Prior to Booking

Are you licensed? Guide, Kenai River, Coast Guard? Are you insured? Do you own your own boats and equipment? Are they modern? Do you provide tackle, gear, raingear, boots etc? What type/brands? How long have you been guiding overall? How long have you been guiding on the Kenai Peninsula? Is guiding your full time profession? Are you an employee or independent contractor? Do you provide fish cleaning and/or processing? And at what cost? Do you include a lunch? How many hours is my charter? Do I quit when I get a limit of the primary species?
